iphone-timelineOn January 8th 2007 in the MacWorld conference held in San Francisco, Steve Jobs was very sure he was making history and he was so confident of it that he started the event with the following words: ” Good Morning, so thank you, thank you for coming, we are gonna make some history together today” he was about to reveal the iPhone to the whole world.

A couple of days ago 6 years passed since June 29th 2007, the date the first iPhone was released, and it would be fair to say it´s also the 6th birthday of the touch smartphone as we know it. Some months ago I watched again the first iPhone presentation by Steve Jobs, you can notice the strange reaction of the people, on some things they were astonished, on others they couldn’t really understand what was going on, the shock was too big. Android the most sold, but iOS the most used

Some days ago I wrote about Android´s biggest problem: their manufacturers today after watching the interview the guys at AllThingsD made to Tim Cook (Apple´s CEO) something he said kept she said something very interesting. Although the most mobile sold devices are using Android OS not all of them are being used as they are supposed to.

We all love free stuff, but when Apple decided to eject the well know AppGratis from the AppStore it was very difficult to search which application was free today in the Apple App Store.  The guys at Tekiki allows us to easily check which are the top FREE Apps available on the store on daily basis. Apple cant block it because the check is down using HTML5, not through an App.

Android´s biggest problem: their manufacturers

My first and (for now) only Android phone was the first Samsung Galaxy S, at that time (a couple of years ago) the hardware specs where not as powerful as they are now, but still Android 2.3 was profiling as very nice mobile operating system.

Today, statistics by IDC show that the market is 75% Android, 17,3% iOS. But this could change very fast.
