Yesterday Apple held an event to present new products and a refresh for the Mac´s. Unfortunately almost all the specks of the presented products have been leaked for months now so there were not so many surprises, but here they are:
iPad Mini and iPad 4
The new iPad Mini (now confirmed) comes to fight for a 7.9″ tablet market. The overall product is nice, its a mix of the iPad 2 and the iPad 3. It is really light (308 grams) & thin (7.2 mm) and comes with a 5MP iSight camera on the back plus a 720p camera on the front to take advantage of Facetime (this is something very good actually as the Nexus 7 doesn’t have a back camera). Also, as expected it has the new Lightning connector… (more…)
As usual Apple rumours are all along; this time making references to the iPad Mini a 7.85” tablet to be announced soon. The spread word indicates that the new device will be announced around the 17th of October 20012 but no invitations have been received by anybody yet.
Considering all this as true, an iPad Mini could really hit the market and shake things up for everybody, some speculations state that 10 million devices has been ordered to manufacture. (UPDATE: New Image added with a filtered price list in Euros) (more…)
I am starting to use Google Drive and I´ve been using Picasa for a while now. Some days ago Google announced that they were going to start considering Google Drive and Picasa space as one storage unit. I believe this will make things easier for the end user, but something crucial is missing.
I needed to back up my pictures and videos, they are around 80GB of more than 10 years of scanned, and digital pictures I´ve been taking since I had my first digital Epson PhotoPC 650 camera (1 Mega pixel yeah!). As you can imagine I have to get some order to the “My Pictures” folder but until I have time to do so, I really need to have a backup of everything outside my house, you know, just in case… (more…)
Jack Seeley, Sr, Systems Engineer at Samsung posted on Google+ a question that caught a lot of attention: “What new hardware/features/improvements would y’all like to see in Galaxy S 4?”
Its not new that a company like Samsung is already thinking on the next model of their flagship device after having a very good success with the Galaxy S3 estimating a rough ammount of 30 million devices sold throughout 2012… (more…)
I´ve been searching for a Grocery list App for iPhone, the idea is to share the same list with my girlfriend so both of us can add items to it, of course the items must sync between the devices automatically…
At first I´ve tried with iOS 6 Reminders, but because of a glitch I already reported to Apple the lists cant be shared (as calendars do). I tested some Apps and after not finding what I was searching for I decided to ask on Twitter, Then Jeff Hunter, one of the Co-Founder´s of the development suggested me to try AnyList…
I´ve installed the App on my girlfiend´s iPhone and on my iPad (Jeff told me they are planning to release an iPad version too so it looks nicer). Then I registered from both devices, created a list and clicked on Share, I just had to add my girlfiend´s email address and ready to go! We both had the same list of stuff, we can add items and 2 seconds later the item shows on the other device, the same happens if we check out an item… (more…)
